Trump criticizes Iran as 'corrupt dictatorship' in U.N. speech Posted: 25 Sep 2018 09:22 AM PDT "Iran's leaders sow chaos, death and destruction," Trump told the annual gathering. "They do not respect their neighbors or borders or the sovereign rights of nations." Trump's speech in the green-marbled U.N. hall, while relatively low key, was aimed squarely at Iran, which the United States accuses of harboring nuclear ambitions and fomenting instability in the Middle East through its support for militant groups in Syria, Lebanon and Yemen. Trump, who said in a Twitter post on Tuesday morning that he had given up hope for a meeting with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani while both were in New York, said he would keep up economic pressure on Tehran to try to force a change in its behavior. UnitedHealth warns hospitals about Envision ER contracts Posted: 24 Sep 2018 04:50 PM PDT The letter comes 90 days ahead of the Jan. 1 date for the out-of-network switch, and after months of negotiations between the two companies to solve disagreements over payment rates and other financial incentives, UnitedHealth spokesman Stephen Shivinsky said. Envision spokeswomen Kim Warth, in an emailed statement, said the company has been negotiating in good faith with UnitedHealth, which is making "egregious demands" for price cuts "that will force all of our physicians out of network." The letters contain data for one group in one market, not for overall markets, she said, describing the information sent to hospitals as misleading. UnitedHealth first said it was considering terminating its contract with Envision in April. This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |
