There were no further details on the casualties or the extent of damage. The Iranian Seismological Centre at the University of Tehran reported a quake of 6.1 magnitude whose epicenter was Kaki, 60 miles south of Bushehr and which was felt in Dubai, Qatar and Bahrain.
