Cal Fire says winds expected to whip up Saturday night could lead to erratic fire behavior near the blaze that's chewed through 40 square miles (104 square kilometers) of dry brush and timber. Gusts are expected to top 85 mph (137 kph).

People in Culiacan are used to living alongside drug traffickers.
