Wall St. lower as iPhone X concerns hit Apple shares Posted: 26 Dec 2017 10:31 AM PST Wall Street's main indexes came under pressure on Tuesday following a 2.5 percent drop in Apple's shares on a report of weak iPhone X demand. Apple will slash its sales forecast for its flagship phone in the current quarter to 30 million units, down from what it said was an initial plan of 50 million units, Taiwan's Economic Daily reported, citing unidentified sources. Shares of companies that supply parts to Apple, including Broadcom , Skyworks Solutions , Finisar and Lumentum Holdings , fell between 2 percent and 5.5 percent. Oil rises on Libyan pipeline blast, Forties restart weighs Posted: 26 Dec 2017 07:19 AM PST By Alex Lawler LONDON (Reuters) - Oil moved higher above $65 a barrel on Tuesday, within sight of its highest since mid-2015, supported by an explosion on a crude pipeline in Libya and voluntary OPEC-led supply cuts. The move towards restart of a key North Sea pipeline, Forties, capped the rally. Brent crude , the international benchmark for oil prices, rose 19 cents to $65.44 a barrel at 1447 GMT. Palestinians call Guatemala's Jerusalem embassy move 'shameful' Posted: 25 Dec 2017 08:25 PM PST The Palestinian foreign ministry on Monday slammed as "shameful" Guatemala's decision to transfer its embassy to Jerusalem after the United States recognised the city as the capital of Israel. "It's a shameful and illegal act that goes totally against the wishes of church leaders in Jerusalem" and violates a non-binding UN General Assembly resolution condemning the US move, the ministry said in a statement. U.S. judge who oversaw Argentina debt saga dead at 87 Posted: 25 Dec 2017 07:30 PM PST A senior federal judge in New York who oversaw the historic sovereign debt default cases brought against Argentina by creditors, Thomas Griesa, died on Christmas Eve at the age of 87, Special Master Daniel Pollack said.
