Israel Is Building Its Own Global Hawk Drone Posted: 02 Dec 2017 10:07 PM PST Israel is building a giant drone comparable to America's RQ-4 Global Hawk, according to Israeli media. The drone will be an upgrade of Israel's Eitan long-range reconnaissance UAV, the Jerusalem Post reports. Upgrading the range and capabilities of the Eitan "will bring the drone to the scale" of the RQ-4 Global Hawk, the commander of the Israeli Air Force's Eitan squadron told the Post. The rift within rebel ranks erupted into violence in Sanaa this week, raising fears of a new front in a three-year war that has claimed thousands of lives and triggered a humanitarian catastrophe. Ex-president Ali Abdullah Saleh, who joined forces with the Iran-backed Huthi rebels to seize the capital in 2014, said he was ready to talk to the Saudi-led coalition if it lifts a crippling blockade on Yemen.
