U.S. seeks 'concrete actions' from North Korea before talks Posted: 09 Mar 2018 01:16 PM PST By Jeff Mason WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump will not meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un unless Pyongyang takes "concrete actions," the White House said on Friday as it faced criticism for agreeing to talks that would give North Korea international legitimacy. "The president will not have the meeting without seeing concrete steps and concrete actions take place by North Korea, so the president will actually be getting something," White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders told a news briefing. Turkey's Erdogan says Syria's Afrin town under siege, entry imminent Posted: 09 Mar 2018 11:02 AM PST Turkey's military and its rebel allies have besieged the northern Syrian town of Afrin and were nearing its town center, President Tayyip Erdogan said on Friday, in what would mark a major advance in Turkey's military operation. Turkey launched its operation, dubbed "Olive Branch", in northern Syria nearly seven weeks ago to sweep the Syrian Kurdish YPG from the Turkish border. A warrant for Esterly's arrest for interference with the custody of children was issued on Wednesday, according to Pennsylvania court records. Kris Kobach Begins To Show Why He Thinks There's Widespread Voter Fraud In Kansas Posted: 08 Mar 2018 10:46 PM PST KANSAS CITY, Kan. ― Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach (R) on Thursday offered his first evidence of noncitizens trying to register to vote in a trial challenging a Kansas requirement that people prove their U.S. citizenship to get on the voter rolls. The evidence was a spreadsheet of 38 instances of alleged illegal voter activity in Sedgwick County that Kobach's office had compiled over 18 years, from 1999 to 2017.
