"His Royal Highness Prince Henrik died Tuesday, February 13 at 23:18 at Fredensborg Castle", a royal residence about 40 kilometres (25 miles) north of Copenhagen, surrounded by his wife and their two sons, the palace statement said. Born Henri Marie Jean Andre de Laborde de Monpezat on June 11, 1934 in Talence, near Bordeaux, the count married Margrethe, heir to the Danish throne, in June 1967. The company was testing the drug, Verubecestat, in patients with very early, or prodromal, Alzheimer's disease. It scrapped the study almost exactly one year after ending a different late-stage trial of the same drug in patients with mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease.
