Former President Carter's grandson dies at 28: media

Los Angeles police report officer-involved shooting at hospital

Los Angeles Police Department spokeswoman Jane Kim said the department was investigating the officer-involved shooting at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, but had no further information. Harbor-UCLA Medical Center is one of five level-one trauma centers in Los Angeles County, the facility says on its website. Phil Rocha, a spokesman for Harbor-UCLA said that there was no active gunman in the hospital, that police were investigating the matter, and that officers would hold a press conference soon to discuss the incident.
