U.S. military warned of possible Islamic State attacks at home: report Posted: 01 Dec 2014 10:20 AM PST WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. officials have warned military personnel that Islamic State forces may be planning attacks against them in the United States, ABC News reported on Monday. A joint intelligence bulletin sent to law enforcement agencies by the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security urged U.S. military to erase from their online social media accounts anything would draw attention from "violent extremists" or reveal service members' identity, the news network said. FBI representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the ABC report. ... |

(Reuters) - The young man and woman waiting in the dark outside the St. Louis county jail were bundled up in scarves and hats to ward off a light freezing rain, but still they were shivering. Every time someone emerged from the jail they would scurry with the person to a nearby car, which had the engine running and the heat blasting. Missing Ohio State football player found dead: police Posted: 30 Nov 2014 03:51 PM PST (Reuters) - An Ohio State University football player who went missing earlier this week was found dead on Sunday, authorities said. Kosta Karageorge, 22, a fifth-year senior who was last seen early Wednesday morning, died of what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound and his body was found inside a Dumpster, the Columbus Police Department said on its Facebook page. His mother, Susan, told authorities earlier this week he has suffered several concussions and has had spells of being extremely confused, a police report said. ... |
