Douglas Hughes, 62, a mail carrier from Ruskin, Florida, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court to one felony count of operating as an airman without an airman's certificate. A date for Hughes's sentencing has not been set but his attorney, Mark Goldstone, asked Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly to give him probation.

"Following our latest evaluation... the centre has raised its terror alert to level 4, signifying a very serious threat, for the Brussels region," it said, as Europe tightens security after Islamic State militants killed 130 people in the French capital. "The analysis shows a serious and imminent threat requiring specific security measures as well as detailed recommendations to the population," said OCAM, which is part of the Belgian interior ministry, in a statement.

Graham's attorneys also alleged that prosecutors engaged in misconduct by calling her a sociopath during a court hearing, and by wrongly arguing that she deserved a life sentence because she plotted Johnson's killing in advance.

The quake struck at 4:40 p.m. at a shallow depth of 1.9 miles (3 km) with the epicenter 6 miles (10 km), north-northwest of Medford, it said.
