(AP) — Pennsylvania's top prosecutor barely spoke at her arraignment Saturday on charges including a felony count of perjury, but her attorney stressed afterward that she has no plans to resign, despite growing pressure even among her fellow Democrats.

The plane went down half a mile (0.8 km) from Adirondack Airport in Lake Clear, New York, at approximately 6:30 p.m. ET on Friday, police said in a statement. State police, the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board were investigating what caused the crash, some 300 miles (480 km) north of New York City.

After less than a day of deliberations, and in a surprise to many legal experts and those in the packed courtroom, the jurors said they were unable to reach a unanimous decision condemning Holmes to execution.
