BALTIMORE (Reuters) - Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Barry Williams on Wednesday rejected defense motions to drop charges against six police officers in the case of a black man who died in April from injuries in police custody. Williams also rejected a motion from the defense calling for Marilyn Mosby, the state's attorney for Baltimore, and her office to recuse themselves from the Freddie Gray case. An audio recording released on Wednesday of a conversation between a dispatcher and Texas county deputies, whose fatal shooting of a man raised questions of whether they acted properly, indicate the man was armed and suicidal and had just harmed his wife and baby. Gilbert Flores, 41, was killed on Friday by two Bexar County deputies. A cell phone video of the incident, which took place near San Antonio, appeared to show the victim with his hands in the air before being shot.

Three drivers sued Uber in a federal court in San Francisco, contending they are employees and entitled to reimbursement for expenses, including gas and vehicle maintenance.
