Fall TV 2014: Your Everything Guide to the New Season, Including Premiere Dates!

Posted: 28 Aug 2014 12:12 PM PDT

Fall TV 2014: Your Everything Guide to the New Season, Including Premiere Dates! The new fall TV season is upon us, and as usual, it's jam-packed with so many new shows that you can't possibly keep them all straight. That's where this story comes in! Bookmark it now; below, you'll find a filterable guide to all the new and returning TV series that are airing this fall. Premiere dates, airtimes, show descriptions, editors' picks—they're all in there. We'll continue to update it in the coming weeks. Please give the module a few seconds to load, it's a heavy one! Editor's Note #1: If you click the "follow" button next to any given show, it will: 1. add that show to your "following" list (which you can access via the dropdown menu in the upper righthand corner of the site, next to your user name), 2. add that show to a personalized listings module on the TV.com homepage, and 3. add you as a member of the corresponding show community (if it exists), which means you'll see posts about the show in your community feed. Editor's Note #2: Currently, our module only displays shows that have definite premiere dates—that's why you won't find shows like The Comeback, The Librarians, or The Newsroom on the list. We DO expect them to debut/return this fall, but until they're officially on the schedule, they won't appear in the widget. Editor's Note #3: If you think you've found an error or notice that we've missed a particular premiere date, please (politely!) let us know in the comments. What will YOU be watching this fall?

This undated handout photo provided by the journal Science shows Augustine Goba, laboratory director at Kenema Government Hospital in Sierra Leone. On Thursday, officials at the National Institutes of Health announced that they were launching safety trials on a preliminary vaccine for Ebola. Researchers have already checked that still-not-tested vaccine against some of the more than 350 mutations in this strain of Ebola to make sure the changes the disease is making won't undercut science's hurried efforts to fight it, said Pardis Sabeti, a scientist at Harvard University and its affiliated Broad Institute. She and Gire, also at Broad and Harvard, are two of the lead authors of a study published Thursday in the journal Science that maps the killer disease strain based on specimens collected from 78 patients. Afghan election result delayed again despite US pressure

An election commission worker carries a ballot box during an audit of the presidential run-off vote in the country's general election at a counting centre in Kabul on August 25, 2014Afghanistan will not have a new president in time for a key NATO summit next week, officials said Thursday, as the country's prolonged election crisis lurched towards another damaging delay. A NATO summit in Britain from September 4-5 is meant to agree on future support for Afghanistan after the 13-year US-led combat mission ends later this year. The United Nations released a statement saying that its mission chief Jan Kubis had told outgoing President Hamid Karzai "that a rigorous and credible audit required time, but could be completed around 10 September". NATO press officials in Kabul were not immediately available to comment on whether both Ashraf Ghani and Abdullah Abdullah, the two presidential candidates, could attend the event.

Islamic State executes more than 160 Syria troops: monitor

Image made available by Jihadist media outlet Welayat Raqa on July 25, 2014, claims to show members of IS (Islamic State) raising their flag over a building belonging to a Syrian army base in the northern rebel-held Syrian city of RaqaIslamic State jihadists have executed more then 160 fleeing Syrian soldiers, a monitoring group said Thursday, the latest in a string of brutal abuses alarming Western powers who fear a global spread of the terror. News of the killings comes as US President Barack Obama is reportedly weighing air strikes on IS positions in Syria and coming closer to greenlighting a mission to aid Shiite Turkmen trapped in an Iraqi town by the jihadists. Syrian regime air strikes killed six IS leaders on Thursday, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said, but Washington has so far baulked at cooperating with Damascus against the jihadists. French President Francois Hollande added his voice to the disquiet that has been growing since the jihadists marauded through Iraq and beheaded US journalist James Foley.
